TRUSTEE OPPORTUNITIES AT CHARITY BANK
Charity Bank is searching for new Trustees to help drive forward the organisation’s plans for growth.
Three current trustees Dr Humayon Dar, Susan Rice CBE and Pushpa Raguvaran are retiring from the Board.
And according to Charity Bank’s Chairman, David Clark, the organisation is taking the opportunity over the next 12 months not just to replace those leaving, but to expand its existing Trustee Board with a diverse mix of people from business, community development and the charity sector.
Says Clark: “We’ve got an exciting if challenging time ahead, as we progress with our plans for growth at a time of economic uncertainty. We are obviously sad to be losing some of our colleagues on the Trustee Board, all of whom have made an invaluable contribution to getting Charity Bank off the ground.
“But we still have a great team of Trustees going forward, and the vacancies provide us with an opportunity to take on a new set of skills, to help move us forward to the next stage of development.”
Applicants should be creative, motivated leaders who are highly skilled in strategic thinking, decision-making and influencing. Particularly, applicants will also have appropriate specialist skills, financial imagination or experience of how a small bank operates.
The Board of Trustees meets at least four times a year, usually in London, with events and promotion as additional responsibilities. Trustees are encouraged to take part in at least one of the Board’s sub-committees.
