| Understanding Risk Management | Seminars for Charities of All Sizes Spring / Autumn Series Following the success of last year’s risk management seminars, Charity Bank and the Thomas Miller Group have announced a new calendar of regional seminars to discuss risk management for charities. These events are free of charge and are intended to give charity trustees and management an in-depth look into the areas of financial planning, risk management and asset management. Summary of Topics Trusteeship Today – Addresses the key issues and challenges facing trustees today and how trustees can check that they are discharging their responsibilities effectively and correctly. Risk Management, Explained Simply – How a user-friendly programme of risk management is crucial and underpins the principles of good governance. Also, a guide to risk components and the steps required to identify, assess, and control them. Risk Management and Financial Planning – Considers the implications of risk and risk management for financial and business planning. Also, how an understanding of risk is an essential ingredient of planning for the future. Managing Investment Risk – Demonstrates the importance of understanding and managing the inherent risk contained with any investment decision through the formulation of a risk based reserves policy.
