Meet the team

Charity Bank’s head office is located in Tonbridge, Kent, which is just down the road from West Malling, present home to our colleagues at Charities Aid Foundation (CAF). The seeds of Charity Bank were planted in CAF’s original home in Pembury Road, Tonbridge, so our move to the town in 2005 was a homecoming for us.  In October 2007, we opened our first regional office in Leeds, from where a small team runs the Charity Bank in the North programme for social profit organisations specifically in Yorkshire and Humber.

There are 20 people based in  Tonbridge, and a team of five in Leeds, along with seven Regional Managers, some of whom lead small teams of assessors, whose role it is to develop relationships with local organisations and work with those who are thinking about taking up a loan.  We also have an office in London. 

Every Monday morning the regional managers and senior team in Tonbridge take part in a teleconference to discuss business updates and plans for the week.  We are keen to get input from across the organisation about our day to day business and will gather the team from across the country at least once or twice a year to share ideas.

Additionally, we encourage our employees to undertake work at the ‘coal face’, by giving everyone time off to volunteer or get involved with a charity, as a trustee or in another capacity, so that they can experience for themselves the kind of issues that our borrowers face on a daily basis.
