Decommissioned Accounts

The following accounts are operational only by those who already hold these accounts.  If you are an existing customer holding funds in a decommissioned account, you can apply for the new Charity Saver. 

Community Reinvestment Account: a monthly savings account that offers you an easy and convenient way to save regularly. Even £10 a month will make a difference to a charity wanting to borrow £5,000.  Open only to individuals.

Social Capital Account: a 90 / 180 / 365 days' notice savings account. You can also choose a longer notice period than 365 days if you wish. You choose the period to suit you – a notice period is the length of time between informing us you would like to make a withdrawal and our making payment to you. Open to individuals and companies.

Building Assets Account: term deposits of 1 to 10 or more years' duration. You choose the period that most suits you. The longer the period of your deposit, the longer we are able to lend to charities to enable them to develop long-term solutions to society’s problems.  Open to individuals and companies.

Charities' PRIme Account: for charities and other community organisations that can deposit money to further their charitable objects or wish to explore programme related investing through an intermediary.  Available to registered, recognised or exempt charities and other charitable organisations such as religious bodies. For registered charities, the account is held in the name of the charity and operated by one or more staff or trustees. For unincorporated charitable bodies an account may be opened in the name of the body and operated in trust by named individuals.

With all these accounts, you can choose the rate of interest you receive from nil to 2.00% per annum gross (AER 2.04% p.a.). Waived interest allows us to lower the interest charge to our borrowers, keeping affordability at the heart of our mission.
