Founded in 1993 in response to the conflict in the former Yugoslavia, this international charity protects children living in the world’s most dangerous warzones, including Iraq, Afghanistan and Uganda. A £175,000 loan from Charity Bank has enabled War Child to expand its fundraising activities, with a view to supporting children in a further six countries.
