“Many of our customers have been with us for years and they are all valued.”

Talya Stoll
She/Her
Prudential Risk Manager
Talya Stoll
She/Her, Prudential Risk Manager
I began my career in banking in 2015, starting as a cashier at Metro Bank before moving onto the Treasury Risk team, where I spent 7 years.
I joined Charity Bank as a Prudential Risk Manager in June 2024. My role is to oversee, monitor and challenge the financial and prudential risks at Charity Bank, so that the bank meets its regulatory and legal requirements.
I joined Charity Bank because the idea of “ethical banking” really spoke to me. It is a good feeling to know that the bank is supporting a lot of wonderful charities that might not have been able to get help from other lenders.
Alex Mathie
he/him
Senior Impact Manager
“My job as the Senior Impact Manager is to help Charity Bank understand and measure the difference that our work is making to borrowers, to their beneficiaries, and—eventually—to society as a whole. Since driving positive social change is integral to our mission, I see impact as a kind of golden thread that runs through everything Charity Bank does. I’m really motivated by the challenge of figuring out how successful we’re being in supporting impact-driven organisations—after all, we’re all here because we want to be making a difference.”
Alex joined Charity Bank in 2025, after having spent several years specialising in evaluating the impact of charities and impact-driven organisations in the education sector.
Outside of work, Alex is a keen climber and skier, and often found halfway up a windswept mountain. Cumulatively, he’s spent nearly 17% of his life living in various parts of Germany, but inexplicably still speaks no German.
