1. Are you applying on behalf of an organisation based in the UK, that is delivering positive social and/or environmental impact in the UK?

2. Does your organisation's constitution or governing document provide it with the authority to borrow money?

3. Has your organisation been operating (generating income) for at least 3 years?

It looks like we won't be able to help you with a loan. We're sorry but Charity Bank is unable to provide loans to early stage ventures. 4. Are you looking to borrow at least £150,000?

5. Do you have a minimum of 4 Directors, Trustees or equivalent?

Please note before proceeding: If you proceed and are successful in securing a loan with Charity Bank, but do not currently have 4 Directors, Trustees or equivalent, we will require you to make appointments before we are able to pay out any money to the organisation.

6. Is there a clearly defined purpose for the loan?

7. Does your organisation currently own a property or is the loan to help buy a property that can be provided as security for the loan?

It looks like we won't be able to help you with a loan on this occasion. We're sorry, but we only provide secured lending. We can only offer a loan if we can secure it against an asset such as, a residential or commercial property owned by your organisation (including office space, community space, place of worship, farmland, sportsground etc). Please note we cannot lend against privately owned property - the asset must be owned by the organisation applying for the loan. Thank you for your interest in Charity Bank.

8. Do you have a deposit? We will require 30% for residential premises or 35% for commercial premises in the form of a cash contribution or security against a property already owned by your organisation.
