As the public face of Charity Bank, the Chief Executive will lead on the delivery of the Bank’s strategy, raising funds and capital to deliver effective lending facilities and a range of social finance products to the third sector and to give people an ethical savings choice. By promoting high level awareness of Charity Bank amongst stakeholder groups, those who wish their investments and savings to be used to benefit society can support organisations with a social purpose. Key to the success of this role is the ability to develop and maintain it as an organisation that can sustain its business without dependency on grant funding.
Charity Bank is an independent bank, however as a member of the CAF Family, Charity Bank is working closely with CAF Bank to determine ways in they can jointly serve the financing needs of the third sector. The new Chief Executive will have lead responsibility for developing this collaborative model and exploring the wider development of social finance with the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF). To help facilitate this, the CEO will be a member the CAF Executive Committee which is chaired by the CAF Group Chief Executive.
The principal reporting line for the CEO will be to the Chair of Charity Bank; however matters relating to the broader CAF Family will be referred to the Chief Executive of CAF as appropriate.

Deputy Chief Executive

As the operational fulcrum of Charity Bank, the Deputy Chief Executive will lead on the operational management of the bank, freeing up the Chief Executive to be the public face of the bank and to develop the strategic coordination with CAF Bank and other partners. Key to the success of this role is the development of an efficient and effective FSA compliant operating base from which future sustainable growth can be delivered. Act as the ‘four eyes’ of the bank in conjunction with the Chief Executive.
