Move Your Money UK

Move Your Money UK is a campaign to highlight that where we keep our money matters.

Banks rely on the deposits of ordinary savers.  So when you choose where you keep your money, you are choosing between supporting business as usual, or taking a simple but powerful step towards a better banking system. By moving your money you can directly support an ethical and socially useful bank, and send a clear message about the sort of society and economy you want to see.  And one you’d rather not.

The campaign follows a highly successful movement in the US which has led to over 4 million people moving their money into local financial institutions - in a single day over 40,000 people moved their accounts.

There's a wide range of alternative financial providers that you can move your money to, depending on what services you need from a bank, from well known names like Nationwide and the Cooperative Bank through to local credit unions and community development finance institutions and of course Charity Bank.

If we act together and move our money, we can begin to change British banking for good.
